My Social Justice Philosophy
A man with virtues, is a man who has received life’s greatest gifts. Therefore, he is a man to follow and learn only to change the man in the mirror. Social Justice isn’t about making a change in your community, but shaping yourself to become the change in your community. There are many historic people that were humble, patient, temperance, and etc. that changed the world, but they changed themselves to become the change if they wanted change. Social Justice is becoming justice for people that are facing, mental enslavement, racism, abuse, and oppression.
Social Justice isn’t something you can wake up with nor something you can say to yourself I am social justice because social justice isn’t an achievement. Social Justice lifestyle. There will be many obstacles in which you find yourself in desperation to fight against your belief. I Found myself in many situations in which I had a choice of being the humble or the savage. There was a time I had to choose whether I Wanted to keep and defend my pride or act with my instinct and later lose the friendship of a friend and the trust of a father.
One who really wants to become a change for those who are dear to him/her must first be true to himself. That would be the first suggestion that I would give. You need to really want to become the change for yourself and for the benefit of your family. Aside from that you need to leave your old customs in which you acted like a ignorant person. I have always heard the saying; “Once you have the knowledge, you no longer become the ignorant.”
Well I plan to organize meeting in which students can feel comfortable to talk or trust individuals. Sort of like a piece circle. I intend to make them see what change is. What a person can do for people and for themselves. My issue for this project is of the effects and results of bullying for the victim and for the bully.
My philosophy relates to my issue because bully is a art of fear and of weakness. Sometimes a bully tries to change the way he lives so he tries to put other people down so he can feel what he doesn't feel within him or his family. Also, it may be a way to capture attention so he can change or the support of someone.
