Topic: Bullying
Deeply Concerned that 7 in 10 students are being bullied everyday in school,
Realizing that parents and teachers 40% of the time do not know how to address the issue of bullying when being present at the time or when being informed,
Encouraging parents and teachers to get more involved with children, so when they experience the abuse of bullies they can be able to approach them with security and trust,
Affirming the school’s staff to take more action within their schools to make it a safe environment for the students, so they won’t have to skip school everyday because they don't feel safe,
Stressing that the more a student is being bullied the higher the risk of bullying others or the higher the risk of having a long-term effect,
Taking into account that there will always be a bully out there, but we can limit their victims,
1. Proposing more youth guidance programs where one can interact with adults and build a healthy relationship, self-esteem, and good guidance,
2. Applauds to StopBullying.com for their hard dedication to reducing the bullying in this country,
3. Suggests youth guidance to move their organizations across the United States and not just Chicago.
4. Demands schools to stop implementing assemblies about prevention of bullies and create activities like peace circles where a student can be heard and feel respected,
5. Expresses the hope of forming a healthy environment in schools where students can feel safe and walk down the halls with freedom.
